Laid out as a public recreation ground in 1934, this green space is dedicated to the memory of Morgan Jones MP who, during the First World War, was the Rhymney Valley’s most notable Conscientious Objector. Morgan Jones was the first Conscientious Objector to be returned to Parliament after the War and later became the Labour Party’s expert on education. Now a holder of a Green Flag Award Morgan Jones Park is a significant asset to the Caerphilly's environment and is recognised as an important focal point and source of pride for the town.

The colourful displays of the municipal bedding contrast with the greater informality of the wildflower meadow blending the traditional with the modern. Keep your young children entertained with the playground and the aqua splash pad whilst your older children will be attracted to the skate park and multi-use games area. There's plenty of sporting action too with a football pitch, cricket in summer, tennis courts and a bowling green. Everyone can keep themselves in tip top condition on the multi-station outdoor gym equipment.

Fun, flowers or fitness, Morgan Jones Park has it all!
