Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Update

Caerphilly, along with many other councils across Wales, has taken the decision in accordance with section 9 of the PUBLIC HEALTH, WALES, The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020 to close all enclosed children’s play areas, MUGAs, skate parks, municipal and country parks which it is responsible for until further notice. This also includes all cycle paths within the parks.

This tough decision will ensure social distancing, limit the spread of Coronavirus and protect our residents, especially those who are vulnerable.

Residents must not enter these spaces and the position will be constantly reviewed following advice from the UK and Welsh Government.

Covid-19 (Coronafeirws) - Diweddariad

Caerphilly, along with many other councils across Wales, has taken the decision, in the interests of public health, to close the enclosed children’s play areas, MUGAs, skate parks, municipal and country parks which it is responsible for with immediate effect (23 March) until further notice. This includes all cycle routes within the parks.

This tough decision follows guidance from the UK and Welsh Government to ensure social distancing,  limit the spread of coronavirus and to protect our residents, especially those who are vulnerable.

Residents are being urged to co-operate with these closures and not attempt to enter these spaces.
