There's no better or stimulating place for discovery and learning than our local green spaces. They are the perfect place to instil a richer and deeper understanding of our natural environment for everyone through firsthand sensory experiences.

Events

For many people the easiest way to get involved and find out more about our green spaces, the natural environment and our amazing wildlife is through one of our many events. Our Events page has details of all our forthcoming events for you to come and enjoy.

Wildlife Clubs

We run two clubs for youngsters interested in wildlife and the countryside. Our Junior Rangers club caters for children between 8 and 11 years old and the Teen Rangers from 11 to 14. Best of all both are free to join and offer a wealth of fun and exciting sessions. Are you interested or know of someone who is? Why not get involved.

Schools

The Countryside Service provide opportunities for school and group visits that are fun, exciting, innovative and fulfilling. If you are a teacher or group leader interested in making a visit have a look at our Schools page to see how we can help.

Learning on site

Many of our green spaces have a range of information maps and boards that tell you more about the many highlights and features you can find there. We offer two Audio Trails where you can listen to commentaries about aspects of Parc Cwm Darran and Parc Penallta.

And don't forget that one of your best sources of information is to speak to our friendly rangers - they're always happy to help!
